| Since
Walter Hicks founded it in 1851, St Austell Brewery has brewed award-winning
beers and run many of our region's most popular pubs. Today as you
walk through any Cornish town or village you are likely to find
a St Austell Brewery pub at the heart of the community.
The Brewery's popularity and continued success owes much to the
independent, family-owned firm's commitment to quality in everything
it does. This is seen in the well cared for pubs, the fresh, local
food and drinks the pubs serve and the friendly welcome you can
expect as you walk in the door. Today there are over 160 St Austell
Brewery owned pubs, inns and hotels across Devon and Cornwall, each
unique in their look and feel, reflecting the communities they serve
and the people who work there but all sharing St Austell Brewery's
commitment to serving excellent Cornish beers and local food, with
a smile.

Tribute · 4.2%
abv
Tribute is a favourite throughout Cornwall and Devon, and is growing
in popularity as a guest ale in other parts of the UK. Brewed using
traditional Cornish ingredients wherever possible, including specially-grown
Cornish Gold Malt, Tribute is Cornish ale at its best. It can be
enjoyed on its own or as an accompaniment to a meal and is best
suited to chicken, gammon or fish - good enough to rival any fine
white wine.
Roger Protz, Editor of the Good Beer guide, recently reviewed Tribute.
"Tribute is a magnificent example of a bronze-coloured English
bitter, with a rich aroma of biscuity malt and tart citrus fruit
from the Willemette hops. Juicy malt, hop resins and tangy fruit
coat the tongue, while the finish is long and lingering, with a
fine balance between malt, hops and fruit, finally becoming dry
and bitter". |

Hicks Special Draught
5.0% abv
Our most famous and notorious ale. HSD is a full-bodied strong Cornish
ale brimming with a kaleidoscope of flavours. Brewed with plenty of
malt and lashings of English Fuggles and Golding hops, HSD is truly
a classic ale of considerable depth and complexity. The real beer
alternative to a full-bodied premium red wine and simply superb with
steaks and other red meat dishes. |
